Yandex has opened a pre-order for the second generation Station
Internet, May 17, 2022. A pre—order for a second-generation Yandex Station has started – with support for the Zigbee protocol, smart sound and a new design. The station can be purchased separately or bundled with Aqara smart devices, which also work on Zigbee. The new Station costs 16,990 rubles, the set is 18,990.
Smart Home
A variety of devices can be connected to the new Station, from smart bulbs to sensors. This is the first Yandex smart column with Zigbee protocol support. Its peculiarity is that it does not require much energy and allows you to exchange data directly, even without the Internet. Therefore, the speaker is able to interact with a variety of devices and ensures the smooth operation of sensors. You can control the devices or connect them to the speaker simply by voice. For example, in order for the Station to detect the sensor, it is enough to say: „Alice, find the sensor.“
The set of Aqara smart devices, which are sold together with the speaker, includes a smart light bulb, a button and sensors: motion and lighting, temperature and humidity. They help to make life more convenient. For example, users will be able to set up a smart home so that the light turns on automatically in the hallway.
Sound and design
The sound quality is provided by two broadband speakers with a total power of 30 watts and a special acoustic grille designed specifically for new speakers. It has an aperiodic structure, which is why the sound passing through it is almost not distorted. In addition, the Yandex speaker for the first time began to support the room correction technology — it significantly reduces the sound distortion associated with the acoustics of the room.
The new column resembles the first one in shape, but has a more subtle and aesthetic silhouette. Alice’s ring, which became her symbol, evolved and turned into a glowing LED panel – it shimmers, reflecting the pattern of music or highlighting the weather forecast. And if you turn on the track and say to Alice: „I like it“, she will show a heart in response.
Where to order
Pre-order for the new Station and the Aqara kit can be placed from 10 am Moscow time on Yandex Market, in M.Video, Eldorado, DNS, OZON, Svyaznoy and other retailers. The devices will go on sale on May 31. The new Station can be purchased together with a subscription Plus Multi and paid in equal installments for 12 or 36 months.
